Product Description
Wollastonite is a calcium metasilicate mineral with the chemical composition CaSiO₃, presenting as an acicular (needle-like) powder. Its crystal system is triclinic, forming fine plate-like crystals, with aggregates occurring in radial or fibrous habits. The mineral is white with a slight grayish tint and exhibits a vitreous luster. It has a specific gravity of 2.9, a Mohs hardness of 4.5, and a refractive index ranging from 1.63 to 1.67. In general, it demonstrates good resistance to acids, alkalis, and chemical corrosion.
